Grzymala is known for her intricate installations that often resemble 3D drawings made fully from tape. Using upholstery, packing and masking adhesives, she builds complex networks of architectural interventions and line drawings.
Set to open 12 October, the Raumzeichnung exhibition at Sumarria Lunn will respond to the gallery’s interior, starting at the load-bearing wall in the centre of the gallery and extending to cover arches and the rest of the space.
‘What begins as a drawing in tape will depart from the gallery walls to interact with the unique environment […] as though suggesting an orbit around a central mass,’ says Will Lunn, director of Sumarria Lunn and exhibit curator.
The show can be visitied from 12 October to 5 November at Sumarria Lunn Gallery (36 South Molton Lane, Mayfair, London W1K 5AB).
