CUAG

It’s easy to forget that there is an art gallery on campus—probably because it is in St. Patrick’s. But CUAG always puts on a good show, which makes it a nice escape from studio. This week marked the opening of three new exhibitions. On the upper floor, is a slice of the gallery’s Inuit art collection, dealing with humour. Four Ottawa Painters—self explanatory—is downstairs. Andrew Morrow’s orgiastic scenes are memorable. An interesting work on display at the moment is David Rokeby’s Very Nervous System (image above) which translates movement into music or sound through a series of digital devices—a “biofeedback loop between body and machine.”

The gallery is closed Mondays.
